I was raising w/ intention of blind stealing ... busto'd in this SNG when I got 66's aipf against 45o and the villain turned a boat -> standard 8%

What do you guys think is my next move???

Poker Stars $10+$1 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t100/t200 Blinds - 3 players
2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked

BB: t1667
BTN: t6926
Hero (SB): t4907

Pre Flop: Hero is SB with K 9
1 fold, Hero raises to t580, BB raises to t1642 all in, [HERO] ???

Not a leak. Call the shove.

~ from experience am I not almost always behind here? Villains range {22+,A2s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,A2o+,KTo+,QTo+,JTo} I'm 61 / 38 behind.

In a MTT where my stack is much deeper then I understand but in SNG's it's always so shallow --> felt like I was throwing chips away w/ this call.

Advice much appreciated....

You are most certainly behind, but you're getting 2/1 pot odds and you should have shoved in the first place.

yes, he has 8 bbs, u shove to give max fold equity to steal plus u have a k9. bvb 3 handed seems pretty strong to me. as play obv call, but just shove first makes this sooo easy

Easy call, but like they all said: shove!

Just push the first time, but as played obviously call. The logic on open-shoving is something like this. You have a king and a 9 in your hand. The king is the second-highest possible card you could get, and the 9 is pretty good too and also can make some sort of straight. Seriously, I might consider folding the bottom 20% or so of hands against certain opponents but probably not anyone you play against.

i guess the only leak would be raisin instead of pushin and foldin to that raise.

basically raise/folding getting these odds against someone with 8bb left is terrible after opening the SB itm with K9. You're definitely not always behind either, and you're prob flipping[ish] a ton even having not shoved the first go around, imo.

Preflop raise is a mistake.
You are supposed to shove in this situation.

This is the ne for HU...you should be shoving a lot because when he folds its a huge bonus and when he calls you do decently against his range and are getting odds as well. This is an unexploitable shove so you could turn your hand face up and you'd still shove rather than folding, a pretty good spot.
