abc fold. I don't mind opening if it is folded to me and also the fact that CO/BTN are fairly tight.

I'm confused. I doubt you're saying we should open jam... Are you saying we should snap this since co should be shoving a lot in this spot?

If you are not snap calling here, then fold preflop.

    2.2k into 3.8k pot ...

    Depends on reads on CO.

Normally if I was looking at this readless I would say fold. But I would also say you should open to 400 or 425 instead of 500.

But if CO's range is wide it could be an easy call.

sure but sometimes poker is not 100% about maths, we are not getting 2-1 and we are putting in over 1/3 of our stack in a situation where likely V has us dominated, also we have no reads. I like to generally stay away from these kinds of marginal spots.

Yah r/f all day you're not ahead all that often unless villain has been 3bet shoving like a mofo. Stats please

Imo this is a standard open shove here.

Are you sure you want to invest 2 bb and sometimes having to give up on the flop if the board is not good to cbet ? Or to be obliged to give up on the turn a pot that will be equivalent to your stack ? Here we have simply not stack depth to give up post-flop.

When we shove it gives the opportunity to make call with weaker hands (even if our main objective is to collect the blinds), and removes tough decisions pre-flop and post-flop.

    ^ so not right (sorry). We're the player with 35 BB's, not 14 BB's.

    Readless this is r/f.

Also, your not upset if either blind calls you and you have to play post-flop (IP!). If you are always shoving or folding because you don't want to play post flop you won't be playing optimally and will struggle to improve as a player.

Not sure wtf is going on in here. Standard r/f readless. Open folding and open jamming are both horrendous

I think it's close, and agree it's a r/f spot, CO should know this as well, which might make his range of hands that he shoves wider.

I'd go with reads on calling it off, it's on the edge.

I think the key here is we're talking about a 3bet shove, not an open jam from the CO. If the villain a Ted before you and open shoved from late middle to late position, then yeah, maybe, he's got a stop and go stack right now. But you opened, so he doesn't have first in vigorish here, so you've got to give him credit. Fold is fine.
