Why do I have the feeling that I just burned some money? What's a better way to play this? No reads

Pre Flop: (t600) Hero is BB with K

UTG calls t250, 1 fold, UTG+2 calls t250, 4 folds, SB calls t125, Hero checks

The only street that in any way resembles AK is the flop, so highly unlikely. Worst river bar none to shove with AK.

Best play is just to fold the flop. He is almost potting into 3 players, and when players bet this size it stinks of value. You could be drawing almost dead. What turns are you hoping to see?

If he is doing this with QJ then fine, sometimes you get semibluffed.

If, as you say, you have no reads (how is this possible?), assume players call too much and don´t bet enough, as a rule.
