The Isolation/Prolong Bubble Play The Isolation/Prolong Bubble Play

I recently read another post that brought this situation up. So now I'm thinking, is there a different way to approach hands like these?

Poker Stars $20+$2 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t200/t400 Blinds + t25 - 4 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

SB: t5615
Hero (BB): t6310
CO: t900
BTN: t675

Pre Flop: (t700) Hero is BB with T 4
1 fold, BTN raises to t650 all in, SB calls t450, Hero calls t250 - or do I shove?

Obv. if we get it HU vs the short stack shover and lose, the bubble continues. But the next hand the SS is in the BB, therefore no fold equity. Does this mean in order to execute this play the SS would have to be in a different seat? How often do you do this play and with what range?

i just call.

not much you can own at this point. two micro stacks and the guy you want to bully is on the wrong side of you. i think a lot make a mistake by trying to bully in the wrong spots.

you might be able to shove if SB was medium-stack but shoving against the other big stack when you are a big stack is a bit too risky. Why risk giving away almost guaranteed money just to get an extra 1/15 of your stack in overlay?

So, how would the table have to be setup for us to properly isolate?

blinds: 100/200

CO: 1500
BU: 500
SB: 2200
You: 4800

BU pushes, SB Calls, You shove

The best setups are when its like

CO 3k
Bu 3k
HERO 6.2k
BB 1.3k

Then when BB gets short you can just walk him and keep him alive while destroying CO/bu, and if Co/Bu are regs and shove on short BB stack you spite call
