I don't see how you're ever behind here. 4bet, for sure. Never a jam though.

4bet to 9275; puke folding to 5bet -- we would still have 18 or so BB if he jams, so i think we fold to a 5bet in this spot.

lol don't 4bet/fold 28 BBs

If you're gonna turn AJs into a bluff BvB, then flatting is superior. I still like 4b/getting it in, and if he flats we have a nice go and go.

I would always shove this, really dont like making a smaller 4bet here and having a psb left on the flop oop. Also dont see the point to induce a 5bet shove from villain here, rather would try to take it down pre and add those 7500 to my stack.

I ended up shoving and he snapcalled with A Q, i was so pissed at myself because i put him on a missclick pre.
Remembering these fast minraises, at least half the times its been a monster and about the same amount they have been medium hands- missclicks. I guess some people intentionally want u 2 think they missclicked to induce.
Usually when they do missclick, they dont fold to a 4 bet because they feel they have to make up for it.

I'd rather be oop than ip with a psb left on the flop.

Just flat the 3/bet. You cant 4 bet fold with your stack.

In the future ill probably flat in these situations cause its a shame to fall victim to the mini 3 bet monsters when it could mean the end of ur tourney life. In cash games i developed a habit of flatting those possible missclick 3 bets and then often 3 betting their cbet on the flop with air.

Im surprised no one has said anything about it being possible that BB might have missclicked in this pot.

I dont think people missclick that often. I would rather assume he minraised so quickly because he was in the BB and had plenty of time to think about how he would play this hand / what he would do if someone raises etc.

I agree that some players like to min3bet with monsters (AA) but a different type of players might do it with a much weaker range (especially in a BvB confrontation). This is a tough spot with AJs vs an unknown opponent.

Guess i just got too excited after being a shortstack for a long time and finally doubling up that i just really wanted him to have made the missclick there to continue my good run.
I know some people can minraise weak in position but since its an unknown, its safest just to flat it, so u dont have to play the guessing game for ur tourney life.

calling oop is lame considering were pretty much at the top of our range

just shove. absolutely no benefit to getting cute with a small 4b with no history.

Its not exactly a small 4bet relatively. I don't see why you would pass up generating more fold equity opportunities. AJs BvB is pretty close to the ideal hand for a go and go, shoving seems like a waste.

Id rather go and go with a hand wiht less equity like QJ or something.

I know it's not very common at lower stakes(5b bluffs), but bvb makes people do crazy shizzle at times. I'd go for the 4b/call. Just in case you fold out some hands in his bluffing range that simply can't call an all in, but may still spazz out thinking they have fold equity.

To the people who suggested 4b fold. Please never do this.

I'm in the camp of giving them to option to shove worse so I 4 bet to 9975. I wouldn't be mad at all about this spot.

I like the shove

Reasoning:
I would have a hard time callining his shove after I 4bet and hate putting myself in those spots without reads.Shove is the best since you are going to be ahead of his range most of the time for it be a profitable play in the long run.
Micro players show up with all kinds of garbage bvb because their emotionally invested and think your trying to kick them in the nuts or kiss their girl.

The min 3-bet re-steal in micro stakes tournies is almost always a monster hand. They want to get value from their hand with minimal risk of scaring you off.

If the BB is aggressive, I would call a 3-bet shove before I would call a min-raise re-steal in a micro tourny.

If the BB is passive, they never raise anything except their top 6% of hands (and 6% is being generous).

I think I've seen maybe two folds to 4-bets in the micros. Once they 3-bet, they are never folding.

AJ is a 2:1 dog (at best, and usually much worse) against the typical range that does the min-raise, whether they are passive or aggressive. It's a micro-stakes thing.

In a medium stakes or higher tourny you would never play this way, of course. But in micro stakes, there are certain moves players make that are very predictable.

A similar situation happens with calling stations in micros.
They limp, you raise preflop, they call.
You bet flop, they call.
You bet turn, they call.
You bet river, they min-raise.

When they min-raise, they have two-pair or better 99.9% of the time. If they have middle pair or top pair-weak kicker, they just call. Forget about trying to read their hand because they play any two cards for any amount preflop.

Don't be mad at yourself.

you obviously better be scurred of the minraise

threads to look at: every ssmtt thread where they have tpgk and they question themselves about getting it in after being minraised otf

but we are bvb, shoving is definitely fine, but I think 4b/c puts a little more moxy into your game.
