7 left in Nightly $5.50 on Carbon, $600 up top. Blinds 8k/16k

Stacks: Hero 456k, UTG+1 572k, MP 195k, CO 51k, BTN 777k, SB 320k, BB 1.1 mil.

Hero min-opens UTG w/6c6d, folds to BTN who flats, blinds fold.

4h5d3d. Hero checks (you might hate this but this guy was c-betting at 81%, felt like 100, and I thought it'd be a good idea to c/j this flop. Did not expect check back at all).

6h. Hero checks, V bets 1/2 pot (48k), Hero calls.

2d. Hero checks, V jams, Hero folds

So btn is a fish on a heater but also a very unorthodox one. Although I've seen him play a bunch of hands I can't really figure him out. He flats a lot of flops, seems to fold a lot to turn barrels, and cbets a ton. He's all-round weird though, I was actually at his table at start of tourney, blinds 15/30 I opened AA from MP, he flatted from BB w/KK (!?)

His range here otb is pretty wide, so for the sake of this hand his range contains a lot more 7s (or 2s) than your average Villain flatting otb.

My thoughts otr are:

Because of his cbet frequency otf it's hard for him to have the flush otr. So 2d doesn't change much, in fact on balance it's a better card for me than him bc it counterfeits some of his straights (22, A2s could have flatted pre).

I folded mainly bc of ICM considerations. I have about 375k left when I fold and table is pretty soft. I battled up from 6 bbs prior to FT by picking good spots and taking advantage of ppl folding too much. 4/6 Villains at FT fold far too much, and fwiw BB is a splashy noob (SB vs. my BB raised 6x, I asked him in chat "why so big?" he said "22"). So anyway I feel like I can fold here and still finish in top 3, barring a bad run of cards.

Thoughts?? Sorry for post length.

C-bets are typically a term used for the aggressor (you!) to continue (C) your aggression (bet) OTF, or OTT.

Bet flop

As played, Raise turn

I stopped reading when you cite HIS c-bet percentage (when you were the preflop raiser) as a reason not to bet flop with an overpair.
