bet turn shove river, not much else to do

call river as played, you're not exactly repping much

pre fine
flop fine
given stacks I like bet call turn better
I probably call river as played

PF: Is good
Flop: Needs more chips say another 900 chips.
Turn: Is a shove
River: As played is a hero call. This could be a blocker bet but more likely a bluff with
his stack size.

Yes and Yes.

If you have a 1/4 of your stack in the pot on the flop, wouldnt you rather take it down now
or at worst add villians chips?
On turn its a shove because it doesnt make sense to me to play it another way.
Im all ears for why I shouldnt be playing this way?

River: I meant to say attempt to steal, was thinking about something else as usual well I type.

Pot is 2625 right?
So you guys would rather bet closer to 1/2 pot than full pot!I get that but choose
to take another line with this play.If you are afraid to build a pot then why are you calling the river?Seems to contradict itself.

who's afraid to build a pot...we don't want to lose the guy...stacks should be easy to get in no matter what so why chase the dude away

I think the hand is well played as long as you called the river.

Just a difference in thinking.

I prefer not to let a flush draw make it and would rather tax them for trying to get it.
I am pretty sure he calls either way and makes a bluff either on turn or river.

You guys gotta stop thinking in terms of "omg a qtr of my stack is in the pot i cant give up now..."

Money in the pot is DEAD MONEY. Its gone. Its not yours, its not his, its no ones its just dead. If you get to attached to your chips like that your going to make stupid plays because you felt "committed". You're never committed, you only make yourself believe that.

That doesn't make any sense.I never said I was making -ev plays because my chips
are in the middle. You have AQ and the chances he has AK,A6,A2,22,66 are slim with
the PF action.
When I say the pot equals this much of your stack it is to equate how much
you benefit by taking it down.

For example...If you had a choice to take it down on the flop or river as played
which would you rather take?River is a hero call and Flop is a +ev spot for sure.
So taking the piss for me putting in more chips on flop is kind of contrary to the whole
thing.

Point is you want ppl to stay in with hands you beat. 1/2 PSB lets them do that, whereas full PSB says "I have TP and I don't want people to make draws vs. me". Are you leaving draws with better odds to call if you only bet 1/2 PSB? Sure, but still not correct odds. Naked FDs are still making a mistake by calling, just not as big of one, but the advantage is you win more when you're ahead, and lose less when you're behind. It also lets you open up your betting range cause if you bet 1/2 PSB with only draws/lesser hands and bet PSB with stronger hands you become kinda predictable. Its an adjustment, but one that's well worth it.
