Bet that turn to build a pot as long as ppl pay for their draws and with 2p/trips imo, esp as you are the pfa - unless ofc you have a strong read suggesting otherwise.

Is this a normal speed tournament? Or a turbo?...Either way im not a big fan of open raising with JJs with less than 20BBs from UTG..Of course i wont mind if i get 3bet/Jam but very often im gonna be on very diffiult spots post flop OOP facing one or two overcard on the flop.
In this case, Why is bad checking the turn? Or even flatting to induce more action OTR? What are we affraid off? What beats us?

I prefer a shove pre. But as played I don't -mind- the line. Not super standard but okay I guess. I feel that yeah, draws will pay, but draws will also semi-bluff when shown two streets of weakness. Not sure how I feel about the min check raise, but I'm not sure how I feel about min-raises in general.

We aren't afraid of anything but missing value BECAUSE we have the (2nd) nuts.

I see how you want them to catch a K or an A otr or even to complete their draw, but what if they miss? You won't get nothing from 'em. If they actually catch it, you will get only one street of value unless they are utter ******s and raise you (fwiw plz don't ever think about c/r'ing the river).

When you instead bet the turn, ppl will give you this one street of value with their draws and pocket pairs (they could even raise "for value" or as a (semi-)bluff), but if they then bink the river they will give you a second street and prob even stack off. Sure, they'll fold Ax etc (actually, not always), but there's no point in letting go all the possible value for the tiny chance of them hitting a weak 6outer.

Btw it's kinda funny how all the threads about max value contain checkcheckcheckflatminraise type lines.

I think any bet from us will literally give our hands strenghts away, and dont see many worst hands calling us on that board texture, i prefer checking it down to the river waiting for someone to put a ship in the middle, cuz this way their commiting to call our jam.

Shove pre is bad with a M of 7? What's your reasoning? Playing JJ's oop with this stack sucks.

Dunno which part to disagree most with... just to keep it simple cuz you don't seem to get much from explanations anyway: no, no, no, no, and no.

Very bad. Luckily, your opponent was worse.

at this stage and with our stack we need to double...not steal the pre pot only with a hand as strong as JJ...

think value first and then deal with the worries of being OOP or being outdrawn...

With my stack would you shove pre? also i had played alot with the btn and when weakness was shown he had bet every single time so i was confident of getting a bet out of him

I understand the need to double, but what are you doing with 44's here? 88's?A7s? Are you open shoving these hands? Folding? Standard raise? I feel you need to open shove these hands, and if anyone is paying the slightest attention, you're going to be quite exploitable if they see you open shoving compared to standard raise. I mean, there -are- other factors, whether you've been shoving often, whether villains have been calling light, etc. But I feel if you're shoving all profitable spots you need to hove this as well. Alas, I don't play many shallow stack/turbo tournaments, so I don't have nearly much experience with them, just my opinion.

Using the word exploitable is pretty laughable in a $4 tournament.

    A) most aren't paying attention
    B) the odds of you being at the same table for long or running into same villain again in the same spot are super remote

Raising small pre will allow our opponents to make far greater mistakes than shoving.
