Villian in the hand is "bustosoon," on Cake, and I have no reason to think it isn't busto_soon because his earnings are stellar. May not be him, I don't know - but definitely a solid, good player. This is the $30 rebuy. He was hyper aggressive and showing marginal hands . I limped to induce the raise, thinking he would fold pretty much 90% of his range. Sorry, no Cake converter.

Adding more than 10% to my stack isn't enough?

listen if you are 95% sure he will fold I guess...if he makes a hero call you got no hand to fall back on...gotta be easier ways to make a chip than this

i try not to ship on good players, cause they always know when to call light.

You got a few too many chips to do this imo, thats almost 13 times his bet. He's probably snap calling AJ BvB so my intuition is that it is a bad play.

It's just unnecessary and risking way too much for such a small gain. We're just not that desperate yet with 40BB. Sure he's folding the majority of times, but the times that he calls we are in very bad shape. K4s is a bad hand to make this move with, we are dominated by a good part of his calling range. I'd rather you did it with 87s or something when we were down to ~20BB.

this + u have taken a hand (that has decent/good equity vs his raising range after u just complete) and turned it into a bluff. this should be an open to 1800 from the SB at this level. this play is much more effective/EV+ with ~15-20 BBs.

P.S. (to answer your question)... as much as i hate Dr. Phil.

erm i like this given your description of his play, especially if you are unknown to him

edit: err i thought you had like 15k for some reason. as played i think its still +ev, but i'd rather call or fold

I seriously doubt this is a +ev play against a good player. Don't have stove on this computer, but it doesn't look good.

Plus most good players recognize that a BvB overbet from a guy who already has postion (thus no need to do this with a great hand), is usually a bluff.

yeah brad...interesting idea but the problem as everyone stated is BVB people just do not believe you...you will have a hard time unless he was on absolute total air or he views you as a nit...

just better spots than this for that big a stack
