How to maximize value after flopping the nuts How to maximize value after flopping the nuts

Was playing this micro $0.25 45 player SNG and this hand came along. No reads on the villain, but I thought of calling his CO 3x raise as his range could be really wide and I think I have an edge on most of these guys postflop. I play an open and aggressive game, and would expect my opponents to have noticed that.
So I flop the nuts and decide to let him hang himself on the first two streets and then bet out on the river to be sure not to have it checked down.
As it went he ended up folding, and I was left with the feeling that I could've extracted more value.

Love to hear some thoughts on how to play this differently as I think I come across this type of situation often and am left feeling empty, even though I flop the nuts and take it down.

if you have been playing aggressively don't stop when you have the nuts - got to raise flop or turn and try to gii - there are plenty of players who will call you down.

The only other option is to put in a small turn x/r and hope you get a call there. But if he has nothing he's just going to fold anyway.

If you are really playing aggro you need to C/R flop or turn... Your line is easy to play for villain. He will fold everything on the river, because his range is full of air probably ( more on 25c 45man)

As played, go for the checkraise on the river. Don't be afraid if he check it back, it will happen sometimes. Other times he will valuebet some Ax and probably herocall your raise ( all in of course)

Need to x/r one of flop or turn. By the river I probably just x/r large let him continue with bluffs and maybe he heroes if he thinks we have air.

I would probably check/raise the flop. If not the flop you have to get the money in on the turn.

The line you took call/call/bet looks kind of transparent to be a monster.

On second thought, just x/r the flop. I was overthinking the hand but this is a 0.25, 45 turbo so opponents aren't thinking beyond level 1. If he has Ax you'll get all his chips, and he may even call down with Qx.

I'd x/r flop always in a 0.25 or a 250. Flopped straights have all the properties you'd look for for a never slowplay.

Great tips guys, thanks for it! It's been working too (very shortterm ). Just made it to finish 35th in an 11100 entrants $.25+$.25 bounty builder. Got busted out after getting in as a 3:1 favorite...
