started by breaking even on the bahamas and then dropping 40k, grinding like a beserk low and midstakes now but breaking even over 5k games now-.-
the breaking point was my ft bubble at the sunday brawl during double guaruntees week on ftp 160k first i got 5k..... KK < AK for 100bb in a sunday major still have nightmares about it

definitely this (though maybe a bit of complaining).

not really sure if this is normal but it's felt pretty brutal, hadn't really had a 'proper' downswing before this year.

took most of jan-april off to focus on uni and spending time with gf

in may played 2 weeks for scoop, won the 1kr

then this whale started wanting to play 25/50/100 plo every day at crown, won a bunch more money off him

now he's gone and scoop is over and uni is on holidays and i'm fiending for action... but yeah, good year so far

some highs, some lows but overall frustrating

about breakeven in poker, up 1200 from 3 card poker on bodog. 3rd in one super turbo for $200 was my best win, but i dont play more than 3 games a week

I was cl w/ like 80left for a while and really thought i was gonna ft that thing for my biggest score ever but got rocked!

yep she's 10 months now. I felt the same way about her when she was born (prettiest baby ever), we may possibly be biased I posted a couple pictures from when she was really young but too lazy to find them. Think I remember that tourney, fairly sure I didn't end up doing anything with those chips

overall on the year im doing well, definitely have improved but still room for more. had an awful past few months but im confident it'll turn around, im playing the best poker ive ever played by far. just need to keep on truckin' through the bad times, which is hard to do but im confident/optimistic it'll pay off.

2010 has sucked. Was up $16K after Jan-Feb putting in a ton of volume, then things went south in Mar-Apr, now only up $5K for the year and putting in lil' to no volume.

Quick update - just busted 7th in the Venetian tourney for another 7k (5 after taxes). So Live just got 5k better...

Congrats Lance - feel free to post baby pics in this thread - it was quite tame in terms of the worries you listed. Just a lot of "attaboys!". Babies are awesome...

I quit mtts (mostly) to play PLO.

My its swingy.

Decent, but not awesome. FT'd an event right away on the year at aussie millions but got 7th, helped write a poker book, and have worked pretty hard on my game the times I'm not busy with other stuff like having to move countries. I live with a bunch of legends, and am having a great time this series with 4 cashes and mostly good (but some awful) play. Haven't played as much online as I'd like, and I still feel like my game has a long way to go improvement wise.

Generally feeling good and looking forward to grinding hard for the few months after the series.

2010 is definitely in the bottom 15% of years-of-chunder's-life, and it's going to take more than a small miracle to turn it around. no, i'm afraid we're talking about a win-two-coinflips-in-a-row kind of miracle to turn this year around.

Startet with cg the first month and it was horrible, went back to MTT's in February and had two decent month considering my buyins. April and May were a disaster again and I am glad that I cashed out some of my winnings so that not everything was lost. Played again cashgame for majority of June but scored a monthsaver on last sunday. Still every pokersite denies my requests for a 5digitscore. I was just inches away from it when I lost a 3k HU with TT vs 22.

thats going back to jan of 09 so you could say I'm enjoying the online MTT scene.

basically breakeven this year because of my MTT habit. this is why im retiring from mtts after the wsop and not telling anyone. wink.
