How do you play when 5 left and the other players are raising every hand? How do you play when 5 left and the other players are raising every hand?

I was in a 2 euro rebuy, 350 entrants so the 1st place paid €270, 5th place paid €80.
I played really well up until the last 5. I had about 200,000 chips when we got to the last 5 which was around 20BBs. Three of the other players were raising between them every hand and I kept getting dealt junk hands. I was able to re-raise all in on some min raise bets but I was just getting swallowed up against these loose players and they knew it and every BB I was getting raised.
I managed to eliminate one of them when got dealt AQs in the BB - he had raised me all in on the button with J4o for 30BBs. Next hand I called his all in bet with 55 and he had K4. So you can see how weak his range was.
But again I was getting raised every BB and I just didn't have anything to feel I wanted to get involved with.
I did get hands like Q9o, K8, 56s when not in the BB but then I was reluctant to play these hands as I knew I would get called on any raise I make.
I ended up shoving all in for 13BBs with A9c in the SB after CO bet 2.5BBs - he called me with AJ and that was it.

How should one be playing in such a situation with loose players? I mean I read that against loose players you should tighten your range, check and call them with strong hands but it's not possible at this point to just wait for decent hands.

Any advice on how to play in the final 4 or 5 against loose players?

Thanks in advance.

It feels like there are lots of questions here and I'm sure there are others who are more experienced than me who may have better answers - but I will have a go -

Some of your frustration may just be that you went card dead for a while - when this happens you just need to stay calm and let yourself lose a few blinds - the upside if they are playing wild is that they may knock each other out and ladder you up -

If they are doing things like shoving 30BB with J4o then you are in a great spot and just need to wait until you have a hand which is strong enough to gamble with.

If you are getting 3 bet off your hands a lot then cut down your raise fold range and raise mainly where you are ready to gii

If they are calling loose then hands like q9 are fine to raise when you are likely to be in position and they flop pretty well

I would also not assume they're all playing the same way - some may be really wild but it would be unusual for everyone to be like this - its easy to make a mistake if you are assessing your opponents as a group rather than as individuals

Not sure where you lost your chips as you have given 2 examples of times you found good spots to call and presumably chipped up - did you just run bad in some other spots?

your shove with A9s looks Ok if he's raising a lot and either calling off weak or folding a lot - but sometimes he will have the goods and you will fail to suck out

Anyway hope this is some use - don't get too frustrated - its still a good result!

Don't be afraid onto still open some hands, even if there is a chance of getting flatted or 3b. You still have to maintain your stack.

Hard to say much more without knowing hand details, but generally just try and identify spots where you can 3b rip a bit wider, and you prolly could have flatted some min-raises from the BB with okay-ish hands.

I will try to maintain my stack by stealing a few blinds and stay between 15-20 BB and let them beat each other up. Definitely not wanting to bust at 4th or 5th by coming this far. I will be patient until I have a head. I recalled myself busting two tournaments at 4th because I was in a similar card dead situation which I ended up shoving K8 or lower (can't remember) both times, which I think is a mistake looking back. Just need to be more ICM aware, as long as I am not the short stack, I don't see a reason to call or shove with marginal hands.
