How do you play this type of player? How do you play this type of player?

I was playing a tournament this morning on Full Tilt, and had the chip lead by miles with 30 players remaining. It was 6 max. I had around 75BB, and 24 places were paid, so it was on the bubble. I stole blinds as much as possible, and increased my stack to nearly 100BB.....

Then, I get to the final 24 ( the money ) and the tables are merged, and a guy that obviously just doubled up is sitting directly on my left, with a even stack to me. He's pretty loose, and pretty fishy.

However, the blinds were getting up, and my blinds were being stolen by short stackers all-ins, so i was rapidly decreasing. Since its 6-max, i had to steel more, but every time i decided to steel, he'd flat call. Most of the time i was OOP, and most of the time i had absolutely crap. He was loose, and at one stage called a raise with 85s, and min betted his pair all the way to the river. I never got the chance to check-raise him or get a good hand against him, and my stack was rapidly decreasing. It seemed like he wanted a confrontation (but why the **** would he want that when we are the two big stacks?).

Question: How do i play these types of players, who are stupidly causing not needed confrontations?

if he's playing loose than you need to tighten up. also a bluff has a better chance of working against weak hands that he'd min bet with
