OK, thanks to everyone for their patience. I had a PM exchange with demetri earlier today letting him know what we decided, and now I'll share that decision with everyone else.

For the tl; dr crowd, I'll start with this - demetri no longer has Marketplace Approval or a thread in the Offering Stakes forum, and can't seek horses on the forums. This could be temporary, depending on demetri's actions from here.

Here's my initial PM to demetri:

Basically, if demetri would like to have Marketplace Approval and/or advertise with us, he'll need to change the way he does things. I know some people won't be happy and will think the suspension should be permanent, but I'd like to give demetri a chance to improve.

He doesn't really have an immediate opportunity to improve his image and reputation if he can't sell stakes but instead it can only be made worse if he continues to get demonized as is currently occurring. The decision is too one sided for me...

I agree that the situation is essentially resolved from 2p2's end with Bobo's decision in the marketplace and this thread has run its course. If anyone has any information that they think needs to be added to this thread they can PM any of the MTTc mods to request we reopen it.

demetri PMed me about this a couple of months ago, in the summer. He's apparently got someone running his stable now, which is good to hear.

For a variety of reasons on my end, I've left this much longer than I should have, so I want to thank demetri for his patience with me. He's handled that wait pretty well, which I think is also a good sign - of course it's not the way he handles his relationship with me, but with his backers that was the issue.

I wanted to get a little community feedback before moving any further with this. I'm hoping people can set aside any personal dislike they may have for demetri when giving their opinions. Whether demetri is likable or not really isn't the issue. The problem here was that he had taken things much past being disagreeable, to being abusive with some of his horses. However, I said before, and I'll say it again now, I believe people sometimes deserve another chance. demetri has sat out his suspension and been very patient with me, and he has taken the step of getting someone to manage things. If we allow demetri full permissions again, this thread will still be here for people to see. We could possibly make a link to this thread a requirement in his Offering Stakes thread, if we allow him one again.

I'm hoping we might hear from some people that have dealt with his new manager. A parade of people extolling demetri's virtues probably won't go over well with the crowd, but I'd still like to hear from some who have experienced this change in management first hand, whether their experience is positive or negative.

Something I want to be clear about - on 2+2's end, this is not about the money. The $150/month or $1,000/year is not going to make or break 2+2 or me. Our Offering Stakes forum has a healthy number of threads already. This is about fairness and redemption. If we want people to change the way they do things, I think it's only fair that we allow for second chances.

I'm sure my post is giving away which way I'm leaning. And this isn't going to be decided by a democratic vote. But I promise you I will read every post and I am capable of doing so with an open mind. Even if I decide against the majority, that doesn't mean your posts weren't carefully considered. And there's also a whole spectrum of ways we could give a second chance - from unfettered access to everything now, to taking this step by step on a short term basis.

So, fire away I guess. But maybe not so much "firing" - it would be nice if we could make this a constructive thread and not a flame war.

Edit to add: The plan is to come to a decision on this by the end of the month at the latest; sooner if possible.

i even had a problem getting my money from daniel negreanu as i had a %%% of his one drop ,no problem my end

the few horses that have left me since this thread was made have done so because they have gone on there own.not because of a problem or getting a better deal

so i can get them plus more to post how great things have been run,but i did that already and don't see the point in that

the problem i had with the person who made this thread has also been resolved .lets not forget he broke rules and was rude to me to .but i then went over board and was very rude to him...that is all (he can post in here to confirm all of this if need be)

just to confirm when you have over 40 horses and you offer the best deals around you will have problems .horses going missing ,breaking rules etc etc

i try to not go so mad any more ,but you still have to tell them of and have a go at them.that it what a boss/partner/manger should do

not so long ago i went over my 300th horses,i have been scammed 3 times total and had 2 problems where i blew up and shouted at them and called them names for stealing and breaking rules

no hit men ,no one got hurt ,no one died etc etc

so a 99% record is not bad imo

ever since this thread has happened me and demetri have came to an agreenment that i will grinding the MU whenever i can. So far i have only played like 500 sng's in half a year which is nothing but he has yet to say or do anything bad. he's been patient and understanding that im focusing on real life job and i also spent a month in half in army during the summer so havnt really touched poker much. we have also agreed that at no point whatsoever i play a tournie that isnt the 3r180's without a permission for him. and he at no point what so ever can ever insult/threaten and post further information of mine over the web or the entire deal is gone down the drain. he was also kind enough to chop the fpp's i had stacked up since the begining of our deal which he didnt have too.
as i stated all throuout this thread i never wanted to dump the deal and always showed how i want to grind back the money lost. now that its a little easier to talk to him i beliave at some point this will all be over clean.

Leaving aside personal feelings as suggested seems like there's no reason not to move on then imo, im sure Bobo will be on top of it if anyone posts anything else.

I think this thread highlighted some of the problems that easily crop up in the staking business, but also that things can help get resolved with input from a wide variety of views.

It also highlighted how easy it is, on the Internet, to both sound like a ****** and go way way overboard while sitting behind a computer and trying to quickly verbalise your thoughts on an emotive issue. Myself included.

Not having the benefit of normal conversation in person is really difficult if you let things get away from you.

Hopefully it all remains ancient history.
