i have a horse that was significantly in makeup... on saturday he won a must-play wsop seat in a live satellite and on sunday had a big score which cleared all his makeup and then some. we are trying to decide if the 10k seat he won should count towards clearing makeup (and then add it back to makeup if he doesn't cash in main event) or if it should not affect makeup and he just "freerolls" the main event this year.

obviously we did not discuss this ahead of time. we agreed to go with whatever the consensus here is, whats fair?

I'd just count it as 10k cash that he won. if he doesn't end up playing the main under you then he owes you 10k. if he does play, but doesnt cash, 10k back onto makeup.
