villain in hand is dhilton12, a real good ssmtt player...we have a little history and ive seen him win these levelling wars on flops like this vs other players too. not sure how good the flop 3bet is but i think its fine b/c my range is polarized (i obv dont wanna get it in otf but im like 90% certain that dhilton doesnt 4bet bluff or 4bet for value either otf.)

thoughts on turn and riv...i didnt see a lot of value by betting the turn here but who knows?

Pre Flop: (t30) Hero is MP2 with A Q
3 folds, Hero raises to t60, 1 fold, BTN calls t60, 2 folds

Flop: (t150) A A 4 (2 players)
Hero bets t105, BTN raises to t260, Hero raises to t499, BTN calls t239

Turn: (t1148) 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

River: (t1148) J (2 players)
Hero bets t548, BTN raises to t2176 all in, Hero folds

I'd be hard pressed to fold here and I like 3 betting a bit higher and leading turn for 1/2 pottish

wtf there's like infinite values to be had on the turn, why did you 3-bet the flop?

I think you have to call river given the line you took, I wouldn't really expect AJ to check behind the turn, but I could certainly see anyone turning KQ into a bluff versus your line.

He's not awful, but other than that I agree with HOFKarl.

i didnt mean to say that (literally) theres not value ott i guess what i meant was if i do bet it narrows my range a lot and i also agree that hes not checking back AJ;Ax hands + he might barrel w his bluffs too...so basically why bet if hes gonna bet his entire value range + his bluffs? to ur KQdd point not many guys will shove over a bet but a lot will bluff u check...theres a pretty big diff imo. so otr iyo his range is FHs/flushes and bluffs?

and the flop 3bet was for value since i expected him to raise a big % of the time on this board. i also thought hed flat it a ton and not give me credit for a hand if i kept it small.

i think the only place for discussion is to flat or 3ball the flop, i think vs dhilton i probably 3ball just because he will spaz and call with worse anyway, and lead the turn

for those calling on flop, why and what are you doing on future streets. as played, definetely lead turn, and never fold

yeah, I think vs him easy bet/call on turn and probably not folding river cause he's such a spazz. I mean just don't fold anywhere vs him, thats the main part.
