He's probably a typical bad micro player, but who cares about him? What are you repping anyway? And why do you feel the need to spew off 40 bigs in such a soft tournament?
    02-04-2012 , 12:21 AM
Yeah, I really don't like the turn, or the river tbh.

I take issue with the "typical bad micro player" bit because there are fewer and fewer tards in the games these days, especially for an American playing on merge like myself (though this is stars, I'd imagine the same to be true to a lesser extent). Point being even if it's not a screenname you recognize or has good volume on opr doesn't mean they can't play the game.

That being said, I agree with everything else in the quoted post. You were repping ****, and the dude (who you probably underestimated because of the elitist crap on this forum) picked it off easily.

fold pre all day long. 3b/f if btn has high fold to 3b%..

    wtf are u repping postflop?

This. + The call on the flop should tell you he has at least a pair, the call on the turn should tell u he's going nowhere on the river
    02-04-2012 , 03:09 AM
    Why are you calling pre?

Need reads, your stats prolly would help if you have been spewy trying to win every pot then i can understand villains play...

Or more than likely he's a bad player/station in which case don't try to bluff bad players.

    Oh and fold pre.

thanks guys in hindsight not the best play. But dude wasnt super bad (went on to finish 35th) and I thought ace or a heart was a good card to rep. Obv im repping A5 or A6, 2 pair or better as well. I shud have folded pre or checked my turn draw see how much he bet. I felt he was super weak as anything strong reraises turn so bluff shoving with the ace felt like it could work. thats my read.

stats: I had been playing tight as table full of fish maniacs. Sorry I dont know how to do stats. I had not played a hand like this allgame really, played abc up until this point.

I'm assuming his read on you is weak is strong strong is weak... if the rest of your game is as bad as this hand.
    02-04-2012 , 02:57 PM
he played it poorly but trying to "rep" anything when your opponents can't/don't hand read is a fruitless endeavor. and if he can hand read he knows you don't have more garbage and hands that can't stand heat than you do 2 pair/sets/ax where x is a pair.

    fold pre ffs

I can argue both for defending and not defending pre.
I think you gotta be carefull from flop and on.
I wouldn't bluff on the flop tho. Go c/c otf and lead that turn imo.

    Fold pre.
