Hi Guys,

I am kind of fed up with my results lately. Thats is I play pretty well - outplaying, being aggressive, taking calculated risks, reading situations correctly etc. until something like 80 - 30 people are left in the tournament with originally more than 1000 to 2000 entrants. Suddenly my game deteriorates into calling mode with around 30 - 50 BB stacks. I believe this is a horrendous leak.

How can i change my mindset. I got 15, 23, 22, 40 , 60 place in the last 35 tournaments i played in fields well over 1000 - 2000 people. It is so frustratting to earn somethinkg like 80 - 120 dollars for 6 hours and then busting out on a cooler.

What are your suggestions to improve my game. Taking more risks, etc.

Any of you have particular suggestions.

Many thanks in advance

Dominik

depends...best advice is to read a lot of posted hands and post specific spots yourself.

there is no magic answers or rules...just be aware of stacks and try not to get into calling mode...aggression is king once antes kick in.

Play more aggressive preflop. Find where You lose these chips. Could be You have weakness in poker theory.. Like when to call and when 3bet and get it in vs stacks like ~20-30bbs. But of course I cant say that - just guessing.
P.S. As ssync said post some hands where You lose Your chips then we can say something more then just make a guess...

Aggression is good to build up a big stake. After the bubble you should play more TAG. Try to call only rarely. In general the player are more willing to risk their stake after the bubble as they are already in the money. If it´s your goal to get to the final table you should play more tight now. Keep the pots small unless you have a really big hand. It depends all a bit on the informations you have about the other players but in bigger tournaments you often dont have that much information.
