thats just bull****, even with 400% roi you only can expect to make 20 bucks/tournament. now divide that throught the hours you play and you better off working at burger king.

i mean in theory most ppl shouldnt play tournaments at all because the have a way better hourly at cg or sngs but when mixing it up and multitabling it might be still okay at mid to highstakes.

but $5 donkaments, thats just pesky. everybody who plays this tournament really really loves poker or is addicted to gambling.

anyways, i dont want to discourage anybody. gl all

I think people mentioned this before but having freerolls where 1000 people at a shot get $1 entries to this tournament makes this attempt really weak.

You may as well just have a giant freeroll with a $100K prizepool... Voila, insta-record!!!

Fulltilt, in August, just have freerolls that offer 5000 seats to an end of the month World Record Tournament. Make it so you can't unregister. Run them all the time.

At the end of the month you'll have 100K (or more) people registered. (okay, okay, just because 90% of them will be AFK and sitting out is just a minor detail...)

When I saw stars making a concurent guiness tourney, I was so sure they'll give a big overlay...then I see it's a 1$ lolament whithout garantee...FT wins imo, and not a chance I'll play the stars tourney.

Why? stars are the biggest site. they owned the "biggest tourney" record - so if ft tries to take what, they see (and rightfully so) as their record, it's perfectly legit to fight back.

ft should have see that this could happen if they tried to mess with the big boy on the block.
