I have attempted this tourney maybe 4 or 5 times with really no luck. I did it lastnight and ran good and got lucky in spots where I needed too. There was about 1800 entrants and top 264 got paid or something around there. After placing in the money with about 9k with avg stack about 15k, I started flopping sets like crazy. I flopped a set of 6's, got quads 8's, and set of 7's all to beat overpairs. I was in 2nd place in chips with 39 guys left. My stack was around 128k. I get AA and raise small but every1 folds. Very next hand I am in the sb with KK! Blinds were at 5k/10k. It folds around to button who shoves for roughly 50k, I shove to get the BB out. Button unfrotunately had AA and that crippled me down to bout 90k. Next hand raise preflop with A10 off in button, 1 caller, and had to fold after my cbet when he shoved. Down to 40k. Next hand a guy with same amoutn of chips shoves which puts me all in. I call with 99 and he gets a river K with AK. Sorry for typing a story, but basically I feel like I'll never run so good in one of these and was wondering with only winning $60 total after a $11 buy in, if these tourney is even worth it. It seems as if you don't make the final table, your not really getting paid a good amount imo. Top prize was bout $3,200. What do you guys look for in a tournament having a good payout structure because it seems like this one isn't that great. I want to know which ones I should be entering. thx
