Flopped a set in a 5-way pot Flopped a set in a 5-way pot

Ok, so all 4 villains love to limp, and all of them are at about 35/0 over 20 hands, with SB as the exception with 80/19. I'm thinking I should have bet more on the flop, like maybe 300.

On the turn is where I need help, as I didn't expect all of them to call. I wasn't sure how to proceed, but I was pretty sure I had the best hand so I shoved. I figured at least one was on a draw and would chase to the end. Was this a terribly bad play? Thanks.

you should definitely want callers, that board is dry as **** and that turn is a brick, it does nothing to threaten your hand, make real sized bets plz

OK, I see where you are coming from; so on turn should I bet it hard or light? I was thinking ~1200.

Also, this next part is an honest question and I don't mean to come off as a unappreciative jackass, but you consider that board is dry? I was worried about the flush and straight draws, especially with these 4 limpmasters.

i didn't see the flush draw, damn 30 hour days!

even then, flush gets there like 16% on each street (~32%) total so them calling a decently sized bet is -ev for them and +ev for you (and they will call most of the times, and yes, sometimes it does get there, oh well)

i wouldn't worry about the straight draws because it's only two specific hands: 76 and 32, unless people are chasing some gutshot or something like qjhh but i doubt the latter

your turn bet should be something like 1200, 1500 is too much imo (assuming the pot is 1775)

Bet 300 on flop, pot will be 1900. Then you can bet like 1500 on turn and with one caller you've set up a nice, natural shove on the river.
