This hand is vs Brutalizer20, a superstar stud at texas hold'em sit n go poker. We have a lot of preflop history but not much postflop history, if at all.

I can't really fold TP with these stack sizes, but this seems like a good spot to do so since I don't think he's dumb enough to naked bluff in this spot in a SNG.

Seems like a straightforward fold, and I was also wondering the same on why you would bet flop?

Am I missing something? Why wouldn't you bet the flop.

You wouldn't bet the flop because you're out of position and a SNG "superstar stud" won't ever call your bet here unless you're behind. By betting, you either fold out a weaker hand, get called by a stronger hand, or are forced to fold to the raise. Checking doesn't fold out the weaker hand, but at least it gives you the opportunity to reevaluate where you stand based on villain's action. Even if villain checks behind you for a free turn, there are probably only two cards that beat you if you do happen to be ahead right now, but three Ts that would put you ahead of villain's possible better kicker.

There is no reason to bet this flop. You are only getting called (if not raised) by better and folding out worse hands that have little chance of catching up. As played you need to snap fold. You are very rarely (if not never) ahead here.

So you guys are check/folding?

Or check/calling and check/folding turn? Seems rather weak versus any thinking player who can "bluff the Ace."

And while I doubt brutalizer20 is spew bluffing here, there are plenty of 38/60/114 regs here who are bad that I would never check this to because of their spazz capabilities.

I don't think regs are going to two-barrel after you check/call flop without a better ace. I c/c flop c/f turn
