Fixing leaks with PT3 filters on push/fold ranges??? Fixing leaks with PT3 filters on push/fold ranges???

Ok so here is how it goes...

Lately (2 months) I have been playing a lot of STT turbo 9 man tourneys. I have played alot of hands against a lot of players.

Against some regulars I have over 10k hands. I have just checked in the player vs player part of PT3 and noticed I was getting crushed against some regulars and crushing some other regulars.

Example1 : I have lost 52 000 chips against player X (reg), winning 318 pots and loosing 314 pots... what I think about this is that I probably win small pots and loose big ones... (probably meaning I shove too light and/or call too loose)

Example2 : I have won 35 000 chips against player Y (reg), winning 144 pots and loosing 124 pots... I supose my push and calling ranges against this player I correct, his shove range and call range might be too tight ?

How can I analyse this information ???

Obviously this comes from the pushing range and calling range of me (against opponent) and of opponent against me.

I was wondering if there would be a way to filter the hands out to know if (in general) I am shoving too loose or too tight, or calling too loose or too tight against specific opponents.

I looked in the forum but didnt find what I was looking for. Would there be threads about this specific situation ? I know I can do it with individual hands with SNG Wiz and other program, but I would like to have a general view about this situation !

Thanks for thoughts or solutions on this situation !!!

I think your correct that you are either pushing wider or calling to tight but I would expect the former. If he is good he just might have a good idea of your range and can call well.

I would see what hands your shoving in error by checking what hands he is calling with, however I don't know if your sample will be big enough to get a good handle on things.

I filtered one 10K reg I play against and only got 200 hands for 4-5 handed, VPIP -> WTS, under 10BB every hole card except JJ+/AQs+, I don't care about him showing up w/ AA, KK etc.

That said you can easily check a good sample of those 200 against your HUD numbers and figure out what his game is, and then change yours to exploit it. See when he is showing up with something you didn't expect and then it's an easy fix.

You can also easily check to see if it's his game that is solid or if he is exploiting you, see if he plays the same to other players as you or if he just has a good handle on your range.

The other thing is that only about a quarter of those hands will be against you, a 50 hand sample size is not enough to tell whose exploiting the other, he may have had a good run of hands.

Coming from MTT's myself, looking at chipcounts is irrelevant, you have to think in BB's.

Might not be an issue in STT's ofc.

Id def. have a look tho if you are also down in BB's.

This seems incorrect to me. AA/KK etc is as much part of his range as when you called with a5o and should be included.
