A few hypothetical hands... A few hypothetical hands...

Hey all,
I used to limp 22-JJ in the early levels and setmine with them but lately I've been thinking that not raising JJ pf is too nitty. What do we do in the following:

25/50 blinds
9 man
Hero is utg with JJ
Hero raises to t150, MP rr to t450, folded back to Hero...

Also, I noticed LittleJohn raises KQo pf and I usually open fold AQ in the early levels. Do we think it's better to open up my raising range and include AQ. I was thinking of making the following additions:

utg: raise AQ
mp: raise KQ, AJ
lp: raise KJ, A10+

thoughts?

I would fold to a reraise in most cases...

At 25/50 don't be limping JJ, or TT for that matter. If you raise JJ from EP and get a rr to 450 it becomes read dependant. Against random players at the 16's you can usually ship it in, against solid regs you can prob let it go.

With AQ you can open limp or raise in early levels. I personally open limp but raising can be good as many bad players at the lowers stakes will call with worse aces. I don't get too carried away with my raising in early levels, like KQ or AJ from MP i'd rather open limp if i'm going to play. You let alot of worse hands in that way, and if someone behind raises pf you can safely fold. LP raising is fine, i personally just keep it tight early to avoid alot of tough decisions for maginal +ev, which i think is fine at lower stakes.
