about 30 left of 500 odd.

my m is about 5

utg+1 (who has me marginally covered) shoves, then tournament big stack calls in the SB. then i look down at AQs. i dont think i had more than 25 hands on either player and over that time hadnt noticed any extreme stats.

my thinking was utg+1 should have a range way wider than aq and i doubted the huge stack needed a big hand to make the call, so i called straightaway.

my real question is how does a hands value change when the pot is 3 way all in? am i happier to call, because of the good odds and the quite good hand or am i less happy because of the increased likelihood of getting knocked out/ running into a real hand?

after the event i pokerstoved it (although i really dont know how accurate my ranges where) and it said i had about 34% equity.

is my thinking ok, or is it just a case of aq snap?

sorry if its a bit long

34% equity 3way is fine if ICM isn't a factor, just make sure the ranges are right.
