The blinds were 20/40
Was it the right play to assume he had a flush and fold?

Get it in on the turn. You are well ahead of his range and always have that equity to river a boat.

Easiest turn jam over his raise in the world, you should be checking the turn to fistpump shove.

To be fair, every draw in the world got there on the turn, but we still have equity even if we are up against a flush or straight. We also beat a lot of hands and semibluffs, so I'd almost never be folding a set in this spot at these stakes against the types of players you run into.

The turn is a very scary card, but you have committed a big percentage of your chips with this hand and villain could have a number of hands you beat (77, 88, AK, KJ, AA). Even if he has the flush or straight there is a chance the board will pair giving you 10 outs!

    Insta check/raise all in.

Also, i probably lead the turn here... i dont want to give free cards to a single

sick turn card, we still beat case K, AA, smaller sets and some OESD like 96, 56 maybe w a spade. We still have chance to boat up river and with 2600 in middle and 1800 in our stack we are committed. defntly not a fist pump shove, but more a sigh shove.

    In a $5 game it's a fist pump shove.

Also most people in a low stakes tourney don't lead here if they nut turn when hero only has less than a pot size bet left.

Why are we not raising flop bigger? The guy donk's full pot and you make it 540 more w1520 in the pot you should be raising bigger here to punish draws i get that you have a smallish stack but you have to be intending to get it in when the turn bricks. The type of who donk's full pot is the type of player that will call of with a draw when the turn bricks. 100% get it in don't think you can fold giving stack size and the huge donk lead out.

How much should I be re raising by if I find myself in this situation again?

just raise an amount which gives you a potsize shove or less on the turn (on any card)
this you did in this hand, so you played it right, (but next time shove instead of folding) your sizing on the flop is perfect imo.
