Does anybody want to pull up their poker tracker stats and look at the hands people are check raising the river with here? He is basically never bluffing and two pair is almost always leading the river and not check raising.
all the fold posts here give me a headache. you guys do realize that calling with the worst hand is a much, much smaller mistake than folding the best one?
true, but folding a hand that can lead to tricky (just slightly +eV) spots later is not a bad thing.
i'd not fold either, so i see where you are coming from. but its not like folding is a huge error here, as is calling. its just a matter of playstyle.
I would be looking real hard for a reason to think villain is spewy but if he's totally unknown I think i'm folding and just really hating that another club came.
I sometimes bet the turn when I pick up a flush draw, MP1 might realise this. When the flush completes we are saying we might have hit the flush. Or at least when we bet after he checks, we are saying we are not betting one pair, since we would surely check behind on such a wet board with marginal holdings. We are saying trips, or a straight. Yet he still puts in a massive checkraise.
Even if he is a poor player and doesn't realise any of this, most novices are scared by flush cards. Yet he is checkraising us huge.
However good he is, it doesn't look good for us.
I'm with most posters, I call this all day long because I'm **** at poker and think my turned straight entitled me to win a big pot, but in a vacuum I think this is a fold.
Unless you have a solid read this guy bluffs or overvalues his hands, I think we are nearly always behind here.
