Hey STT forum,

Hi guys, I have recently decided to switch from mainly MTT play to STT's. I would usually have an STT or 2 on at higher limits going in the background while I played MTT's. I was basically a donk at the $109+r, I decided I was definately a donk at the $225 STT..when a standard bubble hand came up and I didn't have a clue whether it was a call or shove...so I have moved my ass down to multi tabling $16's and $27's.

My question is...as there are obviously a lot of regs on here....Is it cool to post the stars hh, identifying the players so we can discuss what a certain players push calling range is in certain spots? I know it was fine to identify villian in the MTT forums, but I'm not sure about here.

For example..BB John basically owned me at the higher limits and now Fat Afghan seems to be getting the better of me at the $27's.......So is it cool to post the hh's and talk about what a certain players range is in a given spot or no? Thanks.

I've seen HHs here with the names in them.

Things Not to Post:

7. JohnDoe on 2+2 is actually Somebody on Stars! - If people's names on 2+2 don't match their name on a poker site, it's for a reason. Don't out them. Posting "Hand against JohnDoe" is fine, as is posting "Hand against Somebody". Don't correlate the two names unless the person themselves has already made it publicly known who they are.

You should not ask for coaching against a specific player. If you post a bunch of HHs featuring Fat Afghan and ask people to set ranges for you, I think that that would be bad. I'd hope the mods took action, because if I was Fat Afghan, it would really suck to have my play dissected here so that not only you, but everyone who plays him can exploit him.

I agree 100% with this. That seems like a line that shouldn't be crossed in a public forum.

OK. Thanks. In MTT they do go into extensive detail about villians style and tedencies in certain spots. I won't post villians names here.

It's kind of a fine line.

This forum is not here to discuss the play of other regulars in your games, so consistently posting hands with the aim of learning to exploit a certain villain is not ok.

However, if you have an interesting spot that is worthy of posting, there is nothing wrong with mentioning who the hand is against as it is relevant information for other posters who play against that villain.
