Did I overplay AA? Did I overplay AA?

I want to preface this thread by stating I'm on a huge downswing(I just shoved with AK with 9bbs, got called with K8 flop is A88 ...).I want to make sure I'm still playing properly and making +ev plays/bets.I tried to convert the hand but when I went through deuces cracked it said something like invalid request? It's the second hand of the tournament and villian has already open limped. I hate the flop, but I have to almost always c-bet right? When both of these guys call I have a psb left.So what to do?

Standard, maybe bet a bit more on the flop (400 in the pot, 250 sets it up nicely for a turn shove).

Is it me or am I not getting to excited about getting too excited myself when you hit a flop like this against two villans? Besides it not having a flush draw that's about the worse flop I want to see against two villans with AA. There are so many combinations against two villans....especially at this level by people who call raises pf with face cards....for me to think my hand is anything near the nuts.

And with two callers on the flop it's not looking good.

There are plenty of hands you beat calling here, especially due to the gapped nature of the flop -- lots of opponents with even a single J would peel (especially with something like JT). We are really afraid of only a few hands here -- KQ, KT, QT, J9, TT, JJ. On the other hand, you get value out of KJ, QJ, JT, Jx, and Kx (assuming opponents are fish). Seeing this is a $1 SnG, you assume they are fish and shove profitably.

Yea this flop sux hard with AA. KQ is def a possibilty hear, I would play it cautiously, but not fold unless there is a ton of action, it is a $1 tourny and they can show up with just a draw.

Thanks for the advice. I'm glad to see that most believe that it was more or less standard. I thought shortly before I shoved, thinking if one of these guys had two pair or better they'd likely raise the flop.UTG limped called with AJs and flopped the stone cold nuts. I'm not really worried about the results seeing that I didn't make a mistake postflop. He has about 30% equity vs. my raising range here, I'll make a fortune in the long run. I actually tried to convert my hand sippin. My computer may be messed up, I don't know.

convert your hand, don't post beat posts, bet more on the flop, and close your eyes and jam the turn.

dont fold overpairs in $1 SNGs and i think you will do fine.

I can certainly see how it's just overall ev+ to not fold overpairs in a $1 tournament. Just out of my own curiosity dj, at what stakes can one legitimately contemplate folding overpairs when there's not an insane amount of action. I know it could obviously be player dependent, but at what stakes does it become standard to play pot control with an OP.
