Did I make a good deal? Did I make a good deal?

Mods please move if not in correct forum.

I played a small 50+10 tournament this week in the local casino. I never really play tournaments or live. Somehow I did manage to get to the final table as the chipleader and keep it all the way to HU. When we got HU I had about 50K in chips, while my opponent had about 30K. Blinds were 1K/2K with a 200 ante.
I felt that in a ring game I was certainly better than my opponent, but HU I wasn't sure and I was tired as well, so I made a deal:
Normal pay-out was 495 for number two and 660 for number one. The deal I made got me 610 while my opponent got 545. Was it a good deal considering I didn't think I had a big edge on my opponent?

How could leaving 50 bucks on the table even bother you if it wasn't a good deal?

Your chances of winning are directly proportional to the percentage of chips you have. Since you have 5/8 (62.5%) of the chips in play, your share of a deal should be at least:

0.625*660 + .375*495 = $598

It looks like you got a good deal. Nice job.

Seems like a pretty fair deal for the situation.

In this situation I'd say your equity is about $600 so 610 is definitely an okay deal. Either way, we're not talking about a huge difference one way or another.
