I'm playing for the W, not the extra five bucks so I need a double up soon with my low M. I'm pretty sure I should have folded here. Villain makes his raise from second position, so I should have figured that he's raising with AJ+,99+, and maybe something like KQs. The best I can hope for if he calls my shove is to flip against 99 or face the KQ. Also, I think I might have taken his monster 4x as weakness just trying to pick up the blinds. But he had enough of a stack that he can call me and not be punished badly if he loses. I think I just saw my first semi-premium hand in a while and stuck it in without thinking through this.

However, maybe I'm wrong. Can anyone justify shoving here?

yea the only way i justify this is if the villain is raising/limping everyhand.

No reads?

If that's the case, you just fold it and see your next hand from the button... No need to go and spew there.

Yea def fold this.....he's UTG+1 and 4x'd it which usually means AK, AQ, 99, or TT type hands IMO

Fold is another play

With a 4X bet from EP 8-handed, I can't see his range being wide enough for him to have something worse than AT. And of course, if you shove, few if any worse hands are calling (I doubt KQ is gonna call, let alone make such a big raise from UTG+1). So just fold and find a better spot. You are a little desperate for chips (15BBs) but not so much that you should jump at this spot.

That's what I thought, thanks for the reinforcement. He showed AQ for the win.

SNAP FOLD, only way to make this a justifiable shove is if villian is raising basically every hand like they already said, just fold and find a better spot cause this one is def. not a good one. Your right about playing for the W and shoving wider, thats a good thing now just tone it down and find the optimal shove/ reshove spots and your good to go
