Hey

Final 2 Tables of the Big $11. The opener is laggy with stats of something like 34/28. Both shovers had stats of something like 21/11, but hadn't shown anything to make me think they were very strong players. A timing tell is also that the CO snap-shoved after MP3 shoved.

So what should we do here with the ol' TT?

Cheers

mp2 open range is wide because he is a big stack and both players behind him have only 12-14 bb so theirs range shouldn't be very tight althought it's a late stage in small b.i. tourney so quite often players play little scary but we can assume that mp3 tight range is- 77+,ajs+,aqo+ and co range is 88+,aqo+ we have around 31-32% against them so with blinds, ante and 2bb open its a call. You can take tt and ako as a bottom here

Sigh. Unfortunately not. Came 11th, which seems to be my unlucky number in the Bigs since that's also my best finish in the Big $4.40.

fold in game, but if we've got the correct pot odds/equity (which i assume we do) hero should be calling.

Sick run anyway! Grats! Allthough its soulcrushing to get that close to 5 fig score and play a high-pressure FT, its still a very impressive result.

Are you guys saying this because you think its a significantly chip + ev spot (interesting if you think that - i'd have thought we're up against a bigger pair or 3 overs a pretty substantial proportion of the time)

Or do you think its a slightly chip ev spot, but if Dragons wins it and ends up with 70 plus BB (or occasionally 110) then with presumably a bit of a skill edge he's gonna be able to do a lot of stuff compared to what he can with 40BB, so the overall ev of the spot goes up if likely future events are taken into account. Which when i think about it a bit more in this context i'm starting to lean to a call too.

more that having 30bb all the time is better than having 70 or 15bb half the time. gonna be a fairly close cev gii i believe, but not a great spot to go for thin spots

Mmmmm.... CO should be a little more cautious of re shoving in this spot since we're so deep in the tourney with a big number up top.

If it was mid-stages of a standard SSMTT I might be slightly more inclined to call, but I don't think it would be a snap.

fair enough, but i think its a spot where your range is so defined that timing doesnt matter =p pretty sure tt should be in it chipwise
