This hand came up in the 13.5k gtd on full tilt a couple of days ago. 13 left the big stack has been putting in plenty of raises. Is this time to gamble??

Fine play. With 10BB, you've almost got to push. Has everything of a marginal hand from the button raising, you say he's been somewhat LAG, so you have no reason to automatically put him on a higher ace.

Standard.

thanks for your reply. I had just been thinking maybe since it was so close to final with several similar stacks to myself around maybe to hang on. I mean I know I get it in ahead of him here but I also know preflop he has no FE plus i dont think my equity vs his range is that good - basically should I be waiting for a better spot?

Yeah it's good, you may not have alot of FE but he may be doing this with atc. You are ahead of his range for sure. If he folds you pick up almost 50% of your stack which you need. This is a pretty good spot to chip up.

Personally, I wait for a better spot, yes, but it's not always good to do so. I make this very player dependent and unless I have a read that he's an incredibly huge donking fish, I usually fold this. It's still standard though to push basically any ace, especially suited, with 10BB with a positional raiser. He's not likely to be raising AA/AK etc. on the button like that so you've got no reason to feel you're not racing/flipping here.

He's going to be pushing ATC basically from the button with his big stack, or should be, to add to it. Unless he's a TAG nit which you say he isn't.

standard...although I wouldnt make it. but by no means does that mean you shouldnt. I find villian calling this too often to make this play part of my arsenal. if folded around to me, Im shoving. but resteal shove here with a weakest ace with almost no FE is a play i try to avoid.
