Correct play against aggro? Correct play against aggro?

My image was tight aggressive. I had 3 betted out the blinds last hand without getting called. My opponent was playing VP:33 PR :31. Is there any other way to play this hand?

idk whether you rep any pair with a 3! -> c/jam line post, so there's no FE (especially against a V where there was very little FE to begin with). as it turns out you end up in quite a +EV spot but i'd guess it's a -EV line against a reasonable V range here.

would prefer to flat pre and let him hang himself post when you connect, or quietly muck and wait for a better spot. KQ is by no means a mandatory 3!

Just flat pre, really dislike the 3! here.

As oldsilver said, it's really hard to rep anything with this line. You're basically turning your hand face-up as a non-made hand that has too much equity to b/f hence the c/j. I'd rather just b/f flop as played bc we're not getting jammed on otf often at all.

Preflop 3bet is fine. B/f on flop. We definitely need to cbet in this spot.

Would generally just flat pre, but why play it any differently than you did if you believe that villain's b/c range is as wide as that.

You can flat pre, you can 3b/c vs some, I might either overshove this flop or b/f.

I like 3b/calling especially vs someone who is running 33/31 opening from the button. What's everyone's thoughts?

OP provided no sample for those stats and didn't say whether they were positional stats for the BTN or overall

I had over 150 hands on him and they were his overall stats. He also was more aggressive from late position. I would usually flat KQ here but I hate playing out of position to someone whos range is so high and could literally have any 2 cards.

I would probably fold if he 4 bet as he had not 4 bet a hand out of all the hands I had on him. Also I would bet fold most flops that I miss but I felt a check raise was optimal here as I am still 40% against him on this flop even if he has a hand like A 10 or calls with a lower pair.

i like 3betting over flatting...it gotta have more cev

u not gonna be able to play very well oop here...folding the best hand sometimes...getting vowned with the worst...not beein able to control the size of the pot the way you like to

plus 3betting alone got some value...hes calling worse...sometimes folding better...obv the stack/pot ration is now worse and it gets more highvariance

tbh i dont mind flatting but think that 3betting got more cev

rly dont know about flop tho
