Right im a mixed games player so i really am a big fish when it comes to NLHE tournaments but id like to get into them and start profitting more.
So what do you look for before continuation betting?
I pretty much c bet 100% of the time unless its a board id have a super tough time repping like kk6 rainbow.

What do you look for personally?

Just look for his fold-to-cbet stats. Don't bluff/semi-bluff if he calls any cbet. Don't do it that often oop and in multiway pots. Think about future streets and what you accomplish with your bet.

Against passive players, it's not what you rep on a KK6, it's what they rep. C betting works a lot better on a KK6 than it does on a JT9.

KK6 is a great flop to cbet at.
The fact that you cbet or not is mainly function of board texture and opponent preflop calling range. Usually people cbet less on wet flops, and more on dry flops.
Common HU cb stats are 65-75 %

ok thanks, also can i get a rough idea of whats the standard cbet?
lets say the pots 300 in 25/50 early stage of a tornament with 3k stacks.

then later on with 500/1000 100 ante
if the pots 6900 on the flop.
Not trying to defend in these spots on a wet board.
just talking general bet sizing in the micros.

i normally bet exactly half the pot but im sure this can be adjusted on buyins. what have you guys generally noticed?

Half the pot is breaking point for getting credit. I would bet between 1/2 and 2/3 in most cases. If you want to induce action less than half pot may be good.

Also consider what cards are good for firing a second barrel on the turn.

Consider some stuff, like what hands are you not c-betting in position? Why can you check back a different range than you check when OOP? How often are you c/f as the pre flop raiser? When you do c-bet in position what are you doing with the various parts of your range?

I'd also be less concerned with what you are representing than what range your opponent calls because they are really not thinking about a range.

How +ev against your c-betting range is the check minraise from a villain?

consider villains pf flat range and how it connects with flop, how likely is your hand to improve and whether you have enough equity to barrel or not. I cbet most of the times at low stakes because people are bad and fold alot. I might sometimes give up on very drawwy flops that completel missed me but will cbet with the intention of barreling certain cards if I have backdoors and stuff.

e.g. I might c/f 33 on 86Tss but would cbet it with As3d

likewise I would always cbet that texture vs a TAG but will probably always give up vs a drooler/station.

on dry flops like KK6 I am always cbetting but also vbetting very thin and range merging to balance

If you are cbetting 100% you are going to get floated more and will find your having to fire the 2nd bullet more often.

Against bad players you can get away with it to some extent but any one decent will float you or 3bet you more often.
