Calling range question in the turbo 180s Calling range question in the turbo 180s

I'm still a little confused about what we are supposed to call with I suppose it's different for every hand and maybe there is no set way to do it but obviously people shove really light in these things so I guess i should be better versed in calling ranges...

The shover here is an experienced player and known 2p2er

Also if anyone has some guidelines i'd appreciate the help

You need 39% to break even here (2575/6550).

An average reg is shoving 22+, A2o+, K7s+, K8o+, Q8s+, Q9o+, JTo+, J9s+. Some are shoving even wider. Pokerstove the ranges and see what you get.

Probably a call.

I fold here cuz we can be shoving on the next couple hands rather than calling and hoping for the rungood

this has to be a call against a reg. Against a non-reg...this might still be a call.

as far as a range...with 10BBs in the BB I am probably not calling too light, because as stated I want the FE working in my favor. Maybe A2+, K8+. any pair, Q9+, J9+???? No idea, that is probably close, maybe not the Q9 and J9 end though...

If you know for sure you're 50% here, would you call or wait to shove yourself?

It is pretty difficult for me to know when a +cEV situation is -EV ICM, especially nearing the bubble when facing a shove by someone loose.

Does it make it marginal enough to fold?

I think taking a virtual flip is fine at this point in the tourney tbh

How is this anything other than a fistpump call?

Heh...the more i think about it the more i think i'm a ****** for folding

so let's back up...

what hands are we calling here and maybe more importantly what hands is villain shoving?

What if villain and I have equal amount of chips? Does that effect our calling range? How? Would we call tighter or looser?

Explain why this is a fistpump if you don't mind

Most regs are nits, but against a well known 2p2er I call.
