He's 22/6 over 100 hands. No real history between us, and I've been fairly tight.

Full Tilt Poker $75,000 Guarantee No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t80/t160 Blinds - 9 players

UTG: t5864 M = 24.43
UTG+1: t4423 M = 18.43
UTG+2: t2005 M = 8.35
MP1: t1821 M = 7.59
MP2: t8109 M = 33.79
CO: t10187 M = 42.45
BTN: t5944 M = 24.77
SB: t4379 M = 18.25
Hero (BB): t7910 M = 32.96

Pre Flop: (t240) Hero is BB with 4 A
7 folds, SB raises to t320, Hero calls t160

Flop: (t640) 5 A 7 (2 players)
SB bets t640, Hero ?

have you been defending you bb often?
stranger as i am, imo u should 3 bet pf, to test villain's intentions after his vague minraise. you've been fairly tight so your reraises should have some credibility. you gained more info if he calls, and you can muck safely if he 4bets. plus of course you might take it down right there.
i'd certainly prefer a raise over just calling pre and otf, that's for sure.

Can't recall an earlier hand where he raised from SB and I flatted. Can't really recall any prior BvB hands between us, actually.

Does anyone like raising the flop?

the question is what ur plan for the hand was? when u call pre and flop top pair, i cannot see a fold, tho u could be in bad shape. this is pretty much the only flop could hope for imo so id be at least calling one further street and prolly tryong to get a cheap showdown, which means folding to any other bet on further streets. folding pre>3betting pre>flatting pre here imo.

I really like calling this down on most boards, unless he really bombs the pot multiple streets. You can't fold the flop. The pot sized bet is awfully suspect. I feel like he has a frustrated PP (damn ace!) or a similar Ace-rag hand. I almost want to float the flop and shove the turn, as spewy as that sounds.

Shove pre would've been the other, simpler, option.

raising the flop seems really bad

I think we call one street and re eval the turn

Definitely call atleast one street and evaluate the turn, don't you dare fold the flop, and honestly you're probably going to be ending up calling the turn as well.

min raise/pot bet OOP = terrible player...i will wager 100 bucks villain is a -roi player

i'm calling down every street here maybe even jamming the turn to shut out draws depends on the turn card -- never folding this flop

I might fold that pre actually...As played, yeah only option is call flop imo for a start.

Nope. Felt like the PSB meant I was almost never behind, but the board was fairly draw-y and I had no real redraws, so I made it 1500 and he folded. Prob better off flatting and calling down/barrelling brick turns, though, as people have said.

This and with position you could possibly turn your one pair into a flush bluff on later streets. But never fold sb continuation bet with top pair here too much air in his range
