A good player told me that loose players do better in bounty tournaments than tight players, because they accumulate more bounties. I do not think there is anything to this?

Any thoughts?

Its more a function of a skill edge.
If you`re better than players at your table ofc its better to be active in early rounds and try to collect some bounties from bad players which helps to have good roi esp in super knockout tournies.

OK, I am sure that my friend was not talking about this. But I will plead ignorance. The bounties are not that large, how do they apply to the pot odds

I don't think you should play to bust a player, you will only get like 20% for a bust. Most money is shared in the end of a tournament.

being loose or tight makes no dif in a bounty tourney depends how good or bad you are. getting only a few bounties and winning the tourney is obv more valuable. unless we are talking super KO might be worth it to gamble in some spots that usually would not be worth it.
