Hey guys, hope someone can give me a quick confirmation on this one.

So lets say, we play a 5.50$ MTT with a 3000 startchips and a Bounty of 2.50. But only 1.25 goes to our Bank Account.

Blinds are 50/100 with an ante of 12 so there is 258 in the middle.

Lets say now i open to 220 and get reshoved on for 2500 total. SO there is roughly 2900 in the middle. And 2300 for us to call. So if we call the pot is now roughly 5200. And now we add 1000 chips which is worth his bounty and the pot is now 6200. How Do i calculate the now what my needed equity is to call?

2300:6200 = 0.37 (37%) equity needed to call in this case?

Is this right?

Thanks for replying in advance!

bounty ($2.5) is worth 3000 chips b/c we only get half it's 1500

2300:6700 = 0.34 (34%)

*it is important to keep in mind that if calling and losing will make it difficult for us to win bounties on later hands we should be slightly risk averse

But i was watching a Coaching session from easywithaces with a BBZ Coach, and he said the starting bounty is roughly worth 1/3 of your stack.

So why its 1500?

I looked into it a little bit more and the community seems a bit divided, 1/2 or 1/3. I'd suggest you do your own research and play what makes more sense to you.
