The $16 STT's on Pokerstars are probably the fiercest and most competitive arena for some of the best players on the Internet. There's no chance that villain's call here is just a bad play as the number of fish on the site has completely shriveled. I'm going to have to concur with your 3rd guess, 'suspicious', it seems like villain in this hand has infiltrated Pokerstars security and is now making hundreds laying waste to low stakes SNG's.

this is a strat forum, what is your question please? This will be locked.

Otherwise: support@pokerstars.com

I generally do the same as villain and call a bit looser with a 7 kicker..

Just wondering what the motivation for calling on the river is here, as there is so little he can beat.
In the hand you post I can understand you put villain on a lower pair with the action given, plus you beat any bluf.
In my hand, he does not have a bluf catcher at all, unless I have complete rags. It just didn't make any sense to me.

put yourself in his shoes. What are you checking back on that flop and then fire two barrels when the board bricks and pairs? exactly, a weak king and maybe pocket 3s. thats a pretty small range.

In the blinds I could very easily have a 6 or a 3. I've also been pretty nitty up to this point.

I guess I just can't see myself ever calling in that spot.

yeah, but would you bet a 6 or 3 twice and even for 1.5x pot on the turn?

I can't even believe you're still responding to this post or legitimately defending that call. lol

Since your contribution is 0, you might not want to respond at all.

My contribution is zero because you made a BBV thread. Here's my contribution:

Against a reasonable range he has around 30% equity with 87s
09-26-2009 , 11:49 AM
That's true, I reevaluated my original range to include only cards lower than a 9 and excluding anything that paired the board. The way this hand plays out, Hero's range is basically polarized between quads and two unpaired cards lower than an 8 that he limped preflop, overbet the turn and then potted the river. The results make it clear that a call is in order.

I doubt he's a new Stuey Ungar, lol, he either misclicked or he can't read the board.
