think amid pair checks behind...may have c/called turn but river is close...may make a hero call here..

don't see what he has that takes this line

ya this board has zero draws I figured when I fired 2 bullets and he called. that threw out all over cards to the flop so its either a total bluff or an over pair played really slowly.

am I ever good here 48% of the time?

I think so...JJ+ may get cute on flop but raises turn most of the time IMO...if he runner runnered you so be it but I think the price is worth it and your check may catch some random bluffs

i'm a proponent of folding this preflop rather than playing hu oop. as played i'd value bet the river/fold to a raise...hard to put him on a lot of hands that beat you though he could certainly have a flush or 9, 77-88...i'm looking him up

you're getting 3-1 to call so he only has to be bluffing 25% of the time

Tuff position but you could be betting a draw all the way and giving up when you misses. I think a call is ok but the blocking bet of 275 or so and folding to a raise removes a lot of the questions.

a blocking bet of 1/4 pot is gonna get bluffed raised a lot...minimum 1/2 pot but I like c/c cause we can pick off a few A Q type bluffs

mm, pretty much disagree on this point. depends on the villain of course. c/calling seems fine though

so what hand that we beat folds to a 1/4 pot bet is a better question?

its a value bet not a bluff. the theory is that you are choosing your own price otr in case you are beat. i think its pretty safe to assume you aren't getting river raised light at this level very much
