So I'm grinding 11 dollar 45 mans on full tilt right now and have a good return. I'm wondering if I can up my hourly rate if I switch to stars. I do not get rakeback, which is extremely gay, but whatever. Can some grinders tell me the differences and if which site they think is best for the grinding I do?

I think if you're not getting rakeback on FT, then stars is def the way to go.

I have a 37% ROI over about 1K $11/45s on full tilt... don't have a very big volume on stars for them.

I don't imagine there will be much difference in the 'softness' between stars and FTP. If you aren't getting rakeback, you are losing out a considerable amount of income. Stars is probably the only other site that has the volume of players at that level to make grinding feasible without moving up and down.

Nobody is saying that Stars is better. Just that if you're already grinding on FTP without rake then there's no reason to change. Stars skill level is just the same.

I haven't played on PS in awhile, but don't their 45s pay 14 buy-ins for first place? I know FTP pays 17. I like it any time a structure is weighted towards the top.

lower rake for most for the lower games and their VIP program compared to rakeback or no rakeback; 20% rakeback at Platnium

Obv you have to put in the volume to make it worth while in either case

Also Stars software is easier to multitable

I actually prefer FT software, but hasn't been around PS for some time. The payout structure is different, I like the FT one better. PS pays 7 places, FT pays 6 and rewards more the top 3 if I'm not mistaken.

what do you mean when you say games on Stars are dead? Dead as in not running or too many regs/tougher games?

I've played over 100 non-turbo 45-man's at the $11 and $26 levels over the last month at FTP. They're extremely soft and the payout structure is great. It only pays 6 and top 3 is a good amount of buy-in's. FTP's structure allows for more play, too, though I wish antes were incorporated. Still, just looking at the format's, FTP's seem to have lower variance. Also, the wealth of satellite tokens dished out weaken the field more than Stars can ever get, I would think.
