Bellagio Friday 1K weekly

Am heading to Vegas tomorrow and am planning on playing in the Bellagio Friday 1K tourney. Can I get some anectdotes and advise for playing in it? What can I expect? Is it structured such where I can play a lot of hands? I am hoping to play in the satelite and get in that way. This is the first big tourney I have played in live so any advice that could be passed along would be appreciated.
