You would play AK like this? It looks a bit more like AT - It's a spot to bet bet bet on most runouts. Can't see an argument for checking the turn.

As played prob just call the river as most hands that had a pair on the flop and haven't improved will fold to the raise

I mean AK before the river. It was such a stupid play but I wanted to hold him in the hand with some low pair but he would call turn bet also with the 9 i guess

This.

I wouldn't worry too much on representing a hand to extract the most value, especially in a tourney with this buyin - he probably isn't thinking about what you have. If you think he connected well with the board, just bet and bet big.

Go with it - there are enough weaker hands and draws that can take this line for us to have to call / shove

SPR < 4 on the flop is fine for a strong overpair to feel happy about gii.

one thing I didn't said: next blind lvl was about to come, and it was the most important blind jump on those sngs, when it goes from 25/50 to 75/100. It starts 10/20 - 15/30 15min blinds.

^^ the matter is Ac in our hand blocks all nuts fd's that he might have x/r. let's say that he x/shoves as his SPR is now 2:1. If he is doing it with straight, TPTK, sets, 2 pairs, oesd then we are behind - and he has a lot of those combos in his range.

I too would probably bet/bet flop and turn here.

But after checking turn and villain betting river, I think this is a clear call. How many worse hands can he have that will call the shove on the river? No overpairs are in his range. AT probably fold flop. You expect him to call off with hands like J9?

You have to be careful about making level plays against players who might not be playing at the level you are targeting. Representing a range of hands is a level 3 play targeted at a level 2 player. However, if he is playing level 1 poker targeting a level 2 player will be completely useless. This is what is known as leveling yourself.

I expeted him to believe I was bluffing with AK and calling with a pair. But you are right, I told that story to myself
