Also interested in thoughts about my flop and turn sizing. Bigger on flop? I can't check turn with that coordinated of a board. Even if so, check to do what? Induce or fold? Yeah not happening.

Once I saw he had clubs I mean there's no way he's folding flop either so it's kind of inconsequential, surprised we didn't gii on the flop tbh.

I think on tight tables pre is fine, on loser tables would want to tighten our opening range a bit.

Im sizing smaller on the flop proly only around 600 or so.

I dont think we can get away from our hand ott now, that should be a harmless card the majority of the time and he could have improved to 2p and is raising for value in his mind.

Also we have boat outs if he binked his gutter

    1/2 pot OTF

maybe check call turn, maybe check shove, but certainly not check fold.

You both mention sizing smaller on the flop but I have always read to size large-ish with flopped sets (if you're going to c-bet them) for various reasons:

    a) Build pot so I can gii by river without having to overbet the pot
    b) Someone is likely calling a c-bet here with a king anyway
    c) Flush draw on board (in this particular case)
    d) Makes it look c-bet bluffy

I think I really need to work on my bet sizing. Anyone suggest a good read for working on that?

    Nh. You're being RO.

I'm Never open folding any pair pre in this spot unless my table is 3b & 4b happy.

I also like your sizing on this wet board when your up against a loose passive player.

ABCD is all good bro, most times you're gonna go broke, with a set, at east you should be willing to go broke with a set on most turns.

You played it fine, most times they'll fold flop, unless they have like you said Kx or a draw, the problem OTT is that it gets there for certain hands. Some players will bet the turn as if they have the flush, and are bluffing, some have a higher set, but most times you are ahead.

If he had a higher set then so be it, but you do have 20 outs OTT if he holds a drawing hand, and less if he has a combo of the board like 2pair....

20 outs is pretty good, and it's okay to go broke cause you are drawing to the boat.

I don't mind how much you bet OTF, I'd rather you bet like half pot then when the turn is a brick you bet 3/4 of the pot to get them committed.
