Still pretty early in, but our table has already had like 3 bust outs, so it’s pretty wild.

Bit of history w/ Villian, he is an old boy, who loves to call hands and berate people, despite being a douche he is pretty much spot on with his thinking. An orbit before I open with AcKd, he calls and I check/call a 2/3 pot bet on a 10c Jc x board and after check/check turn I bink an Ace on the river, but fail to get any value by checking and he checks behind.

He gets unhappy about my flop float from them seems to have his eye on me. The table is playing awful, first hand a guy limp/3bets then calls a 4 bet and shoves K hi flop w/ KJo, so I figure old boy thinks I prolly fit into that mould.

Anyway, blinds 50/100 –

My stack ~8k
Villian’s ~ 6.5k

I open AsKs to 300
Villian flats in sb

Flop 5d Ac 7h pot 700 He checks, I check

Turn Kd pot 700 He bets 500, I tank and raise to 1300 (bit small, but I can live with that, I want it too look bluffy so he'll peel) – he pretty quickly makes it 2600 (with about the same behind)

Can I fold here? – The two main factors are that A) he doesn’t think I’m good enough to fold any decent Ace in this spot and B) I don’t think he is going to spew here if he thinks that, and the only hand I think he could be value raising that I beat is maybe AQ.

I mean he could have some two pair hands but does he have this enough to basically fcuk my tourney?

Why aren't we betting flop?

That first hand you played against him seems really bad. Why are you c/cing AK on a JTx board? (edit: saw the backdoor flush draw, but still not sure that's enough)

Why are you checking back the flop on the hand in question? That also seems bad.

Checking back the flop then raising the turn also seems bad. I mean, presumably you're checking back the flop to induce, in which case raising him off all his bluffs on the turn seems like a poor idea.

As for what to do when he 3-bets the turn... I'm not really sure. I prob flat and call a shove on the river, because it doesn't really make much sense for him to 3-bet the turn w/ anything less than a set, and I would expect him to lead the turn w/ that since he already thinks you're a station.

I thought he'd fold too often. He'd called oop pre and c/folded a few times up to this.
