AK 6m facing a 3bet AK 6m facing a 3bet

Hey, I have read your posts for a while and there is some great stuff being written here but this is my first time posting so go easy :P
I've just started playing 6max SNGs from full ring SNGs and was wondering how AK plays differently in the short handed version of the game.
I seem to find myself in spots like this and i'm not sure what to do no stats on the villain but he had been fairly loose passive like most players at the level however he had 3 bet my button steal on the previous orbit.
Flatting felt horrible since i thought id be c/f too many flops so i decided to 4bet jam however looking over it my 4 bet looks too big to his 3bet...
Any advide on how to play these spots would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

i like just fatting, hes telling you he has a monster by min 3betting (or at least what he thinks is a monster) its only 60 more chips so its not a big deal if you have to fold when you miss.

i like jamming if youve seen him make a small 3bet alot

you can get your chips in with a slightly wider range preflop in 6max but play this particular spot the same in both formats

I like flatting too, though I don't give a min-raise credit to being a strong hand...I generally feel it's just a fish playing AJo or something this way cuz they don't know how to play their hand. We're too deep to get it in here.

I agree with the first part, I flat and ship it on a A or K high flop with no problems, because I know I will see KQ or Ax a lot there, but we are never too deep to get it in, if we have 10248301597340bb with AK but we know that by shoving the other guys is going to call with Ax we can shove and it is going to be the best play. I dont understand that of we are too deep to get it in, its like when I am HU and I have A2o on the BB with 20bb deep and I like to shove when I know villain is limping a weak range from the SB because I suck at playing post flop and I can shove and it is going to be +EV so shoving is the best option for me. I never agree with the "we're too deep to get it in" that doesn't make any sense to me

We're too deep to get it in w/AKo in this situation is what I meant to say.

I dont agree, I like the shove given its a 1$ SNG and we have no info that the villain is a 33/5 player. Against that I even preffer to fold pre unless I know he is going to stack off QQ on A high or K high boards.

Besides, if you consider effective stack sizes (it seems to me you didn't), he has less than 9 times his raise behind, so shoving over his raise isn't awkward. Any kind of reraise would commit you anyway.

Just get it in. It is a $1 game so people will be doing that with anything. You can't think your behind here due to the stack sizes and they nature of the game. when you are thats just unlucky. They could have AT-AQ and even Kq-KJ sometimes. But it is just easier to get it in pre and have done with it!
