Late in a 0.50 180 seat on Stars. 4 Left, I'm short stack and hit AA.

Is how I played this right in the circumstances. I want to take a big pot with this hand and get back amongst it.

Just shove or minraise preflop. I think both are fine. At 0.5c stakes, I wouldnt expect people to know that it was AA if I minraise on an 8x stack, so I think that's prolly the better play. If I knew that the remaining players were competent, I'd just stick it in and hope they have something.

Shove pre. Min raise with hero's stack seems pretty strong IMO.

Mr pre. Shoving is also ok depending how you have played. Limping is just bad.

As played Bet flop as played raise turn as played call and post a hand in 2+2 after villain catches a flush or straight.

MR pre seems so bad. You can limp or shove, both are fine.

jesus... why does this thread exist... killer kill knows whats up. limping pre just complicates everything. shove pre with this hand and a whole bunch of other hands too. let this hand strengthen your range

Why do you think limping complicates things? We're getting our hand in every time regardless of the flop. If we think they're nitty to shoves we can limp and let someone hit the flop. Yes we're giving them a chance to outflop us but the value in a double up when they hit a pair is far greater than losing our stack the rare times they outflop us.

I know the outcome doesnt necessarily make the decision wrong. But as it was I let the BB check along with T6 off and overtake me with the straight on the river.

Min raise would have probably got rid of him rather than the limp.

We don't know how hero or others have been playing so its hard to say how villains see our limp, but we haven't limped so far I don't start doing it now. If I was in bb and someone limps for the first time with 8bb and I hit a pair I don't plan to double up the limper.

Why not puzo? You're folding if you flop a K here and he shoves 8bb into you?

This hand was played really really bad. Most specifically the turn.

Well prolly not if I flop a top pair, but its always a bit alarming if someone that short suddenly limps.

Meh I'd shove most of my range on the flop.

    Raise all in pre.
As played. Raise all in on turn. check flop is OK because you allready let someone see the flop really cheap. Allways raise all in when they bet in situations like theese.

just shove, because raising 2bb with 8bb total looks pretty strong even on micro limits, sometimes you can spot the same situation with raised KQ or something like that, but its rare
