No. Never. VERY rarely; I'd probably want to be on the top end of a OESD with a BDFD and top pair before thinking about this.

7 handed with a decent chip stack I'm raising this preflop.

They just never check the turn, so even though he only has a draw quite often, you're going to pay too much to find that out.

If we were in position HU, I'd peel for sure. However we're OOP and he's betting through a number of people, so it looks pretty strong.

DH, raising just puts us in a horrible situation a lot. He's betting through a lot of people and probably never folding a J. It's not really bad, but I don't folding is best.

Are you saying raising pf is bad or raising on this flop? I raise pf to 125-150.

Fold the flop as played.

Detroit meant preflop

I think raising, calling or folding pf are all pretty close.

as played, fold.

Reading comprehension FTW.

Raising or calling PF both seem good, I don't like folding at all though, jurrass.

raising and calling are def > folding.
But players that are not too comfortable playing postflop with a mediocre pair against 1 or more callers don't lose that much equity by folding i think.

i'm 50-50 for fold-call

he may have put in more for a Jx

i'm putting him on 8-high card or 7-high card

if Jx - i see 6 outs but a Th would be frightening - although i can't see him making this bet with just a flush draw.

would depend on my mood - considering chip stack i might call to see another card - implied odds are big and he may quit pushing

tough one

I'm not singling you out, but we need to get the past the comfortability factor of playing pairs. For any decent player, 99 especially will be +EV to raise here. You have to be extremely bad to make 99 a loser over time here.

99 isn't 66, and people should be able to get value out of it, especially 7 handed(only 5 to act).
