9 handed vs. 10 handed sngs 9 handed vs. 10 handed sngs

hello, im new to the forums here, i was an avid sng player on party before the legislation. I was wondering if other people here miss ten handed sngs, and i mainly wonder if anyone agrees that if either full tilt or stars switched to ten handed sngs from 9 handed that they would overwhelmingly corner the sit n go market. Also, what reasons do these sites have for opting for 9 handed games. Sorry if this has been discussed before.

I think the consensus is that your increase in ROI from the additional money added to the prize pool by the 10th player is negated by having one more player to go through to get to the money, and taking a little longer to finish the game.

I have no way to contradict this idea by means of actual logic. But my instints(which are derived from playing 5k + sngs on party and 5k+ on stars/FT) tell me that its far easier to make money in the 10 handed games. Im aware that the games on party were maybe easier. But the big advantage of a 10 player payout structure is that any cash yields at least one buyin profit. which means you cant play a set, cash in 50% of your games and lose money (other than to the rake) I also should add that partys turbo sngs were 10 handed, and finished on average in a similar amount of time as FTs or stars. I really doubt anyone that has played alot of sngs on all the sites over the last say 6 years wouldnt welcome a structure like the old party sngs on either of the major sites available to U.S. players.

I prefered the 10 person SNGs but I'm not sure if they were more profitable. I'm sure the party SNGs were considerably easier. The amount of time they took was probably pretty similar considering once the blinds hit a certain point people drop like flies. On another note, I may have broken my hand just now trying to open pepperoncinis.

Depending on limits its going to be 1 more bad player at the table or 1 more good player. Should probably play the 180 mans where theres probably 175 horrible players per.
